*Fizzle* *Crackle* *Fizzle* Hello? Is this thing working? Hey Wizard and Dragon fans! They've been blocking my transmissions so I haven't been able to post anything for a while. I'm sure you have a lot of questions, but for now just sit tight and listen. I hope this will answer at least a few of your questions. So as I said on that other post Tom and I were going on some sort of a one time space camp thing. The chauffeur dropped us off at a big building, and we walked inside. Tom looked like a normal kid because he had put on an ID mask. It's supposed to change your appearance for when you need to look like something else. So far everything was like a normal field trip. They were doing a simulation where the probe team had to repair a space probe, and create a new one to pick up rock and soil samples on the moon. The Med. team had to keep everyone on the spaceship healthy. The Isolation team had to use mechanical arms to handle stuff we can't touch. The Navigation team looked at messages sent by mission control, and forwarded them to the people they were supposed to get to. Don't ask me why. They told us which teams we were on, and sent us to the space craft. Tom and I were on the probe team. When we got on the space shuttle simulator we slipped on our special, white, lab coats, we were the only people who got to wear lab coats! YAY!, and slipped into the airlock room. We grabbed the broken probe with an, on computer, digital, robotic arm. We were almost finished fixing the probe, when suddenly there came a loud crashing noise. Everyone in the space shuttle simulator looked up. Then it came again, but louder this time. The plaster ceiling crumbled a little, and we could see white speck falling from it. "Well this isn't good." Tom said, and I just stood there holding my breath in fear of what was to fall from the ceiling. It came just as I expected. *CRASH!!!* What came through the ceiling wasn't a troll though, and it certainly wasn't a basilisk. Surprisingly it wasn't my evil, seven year old, cousin Ricky either. No, It definitely wasn't Ricky. It was some sort of robot. It's shiny, metallic, plating was painted a bright, yet deadly, red and orange. There was a strip of very advanced mechanical stuff across the front of it's, dome shaped, helmet. It was located around where the eyes would be on a human, so I could only guess that's what it sees through. It's robotic fist quickly converted into what looked like some sort of plasma cannon. It raised it's weapons, and pointed them at the two adults in the room saying, "This is marine droid #54271. By order of the Mecha supreme you are to be terminated immediately." It's voice sounded digital and robotic. Kind of like the voice you would find in a Sci-fi movie. But that is what's least important right now. We had to get everyone out! So with my wand in my hand I yelled, "Teleportatia!"And Just like that, everyone disappeared. There was only one problem though. Tom and I were still there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "Darn this wand!" I yelled. "It only works to a certain limit!" "He he he. Archmage?" Tom said nervously. I turned around, and there was the robot. He was pointing his plasma cannon at me, when I heard a digital say, "Target locked." "Oh no he didn't." I said. "Yeah, he did." said Tom. "And I think we should move out of the way right about... NOW!!!!!" Tom tackled me to the ground, just as the plasma blast was about to knock my head off. "Charging... charging... charging..." "Okay," I said. "Whoever wants to vote for running away screaming, say aye." Tom raised his hand and asked,"Is the screaming part really necessary?" "No." "Then I say aye!" "On the count of five." I said "One... two..." "Charging... charging... charging complete." "Five!!!" Tom and I shouted as we leaped for the door leading out of the space shuttle simulator. We made it just in time, as the wall behind us exploded. We ran, and ran, until we felt like we were going to collapse. I looked down at the tile floor gasping for breath, and then as suddenly as when the Mecha marine burst through the ceiling, I had an idea. I stopped running, and took out my wand. "Why are you stopping?!" Tom whispered. "We've got that psycho robot hot on our trail, remember?!" I whispered a spell and the tile lifted up exposing a hide away. The entrance grew wide enough to climb in. "Come on! Climb in!" I whispered. "No way!" said Tom. "I've had it with dark enclosed spaces!!!" Then we heard the sound of clanking metal running towards us. "Then again, the alternative is our absolute demise" said Tom quickly climbing into the hide away. After he went in I followed, and swiftly closed the entrance. The Mecha marine's footsteps went directly above us and paused for awhile, as if it had no idea where we were. Then it moved on continuing it's search. Wait. What day is it? Wednesday, January 13th, 2010!!!!! Either this computer got really messed up from all that running away, or something's going terribly wrong! I'm going for number two, but that's just my opinion. Sorry this is all I can say. The Mecha are on to me already. They're probably going to cut me off any second n- *Fizzle* *Crackle *Fizzle* beeeeeeooooooop...................................................
Hey Wizard and Dragon fans! Okay, just a recap to see if you remember what's happening so far. I get an enchanted Venus flytrap from my Secret Santa, The council calls Frostagian, Adam, Tom, and me to investigate mysterious tremors in Austin, Texas, and now we're trapped on one side of a cliff with an ominous feeling around us. Everybody caught up now? Good, then let's continue. "I think somebody doesn't want us to leave just yet." I said. "Yeah, you think?" said Adam. "I guess we have no choice but to follow the tunnel, and continue our mission." said Tom "We could stay here, and try to get the pilot's attention so we can go home." Adam pleaded, hopefully. Everyone just looked at him "Just joking." he chuckled. So, we made the descent into the deep, dark tunnel, not knowing what awaited us near the end. It was pretty quiet, not to mention dark. I held up my wand at the front of the line, and cast a spell. An orb made of pure, bright, light leaped from the tip of my wand. The sudden brightness made Audrey jump, and he slammed his head into mine. "L-l-lousy l-light!" Audrey cursed. The luminescent ball hovered at the front of the line, leading the way through the pitch black. Audrey explained that he didn't find any bugs earlier, and he wanted to go ahead to see if he could find any. I took the little monster out of my backpack, and placed him on the ground. He quickly ran ahead into the darkness, and disappeared from sight. Somewhere around ten minutes later the ground started shaking again, this time more violent than before. We grabbed on the wall, wondering if these few seconds would be our last. It died down as soon as I thought my hands were going to fall off from how hard I was holding on to the wall. Audrey came running back thinking, "Is i-it o-o-over y-y-yet?" "Is everyone alright?" the whole group mumbled in reply, and Audrey said, "I w-w-will b-be as s-s-soon as I c-catch a b-b-bug." I made a little chuckle at that remark. The orb of light had run off somewhere, but it came back still as bright as ever, although a little nervous if you ask me. We kept on walking until I heard a large sound from underneath. I looked down, and saw a small crack getting bigger by the second. I made the right decision, and jumped across the tunnel. Just in time too. Right after I jumped the ground fell right where I was standing. "ARCHMAGE!" yelled Frostagian, Adam, and Tom in unison. "I'm okay." I said weakly "Scared out of my wits, but okay" "Audrey! Audrey! Has anyone seen Audrey?" They shook their heads in response. "Oh no!" I thought. "I'm d-d-d-down h-h-here!" Audrey shouted through my thoughts. I looked down, and saw Audrey hanging by a small rock that was about to give away any second. "Audrey" I yelled. I shot my arm down where Audrey was hanging. "I can't reach you!" "Get him to grab your wand!" shouted Tom. I took my wand out of my pack. "The r-r-rock is br-breaking!" Audrey shouted through my mind again. I reached out my wand to Audrey, but the rock broke away... I looked over the edge, thinking that Audrey wouldn't be there. But I found something different. There was Audrey, leafy hands grasped to my wand for dear life. "P-p-pull m-me up!" Audrey stammered in my mind. "B-b-before I f-f-f-fall!" I pulled him back up, and hugged the little green monster. "Don't do that again!" I said. "Shall we go now?" said Frostagian, tapping her foot. "Right, of course." Frostagian, Adam, and Tom jumped over the gap in the tunnel, while I put Audrey back in my pack, and we continued marching. Finally, after what seemed like forever, we came into a large cavern lit with torches. I sucked the ball of light back into my wand, and looked at what was ahead. Dozens of trolls with large clubs were whacking the ground making tremors. Suddenly something grabbed me by the shoulders. We were caught. The trolls brought us to a large chair, where right there sat someone I hoped to never see again. My evil seven year old cousin, Ricky. "Well, well, well, who do we have here?" said Ricky innocently. "Hello Ricky." I growled coldly. Audrey jumped out of my backpack, and stood in front of us. "Why hello Audrey Jr. You have failed me." "Huh? What do you mean?" I asked. "You haven't figured it out yet? My, my, cousin, you're much dumber than I take you for. You see, I sent you Audrey Jr. with only one goal. To terminate you." "Audrey?" I said. Audrey looked down guiltily. I didn't want to believe a bit of it. "Ricky must be lying! He has to be!" I thought. "He was the one who cut the bridge down. The one who started the gap that was supposed to swallow you up. And the one who failed me." "Do you know what I do to failures?" Audrey shuddered. "I destroy them" Ricky raised his wand and threw a fireball at Audrey, who ran away before he got incinerated. "Shall we go after him?" one of the trolls asked Ricky. "I'll deal with the coward later, but for now I want to enjoy every last minute of my cousin, Archmage's, execution." Ricky raised his wand, beams of light shining in all directions. "Well, I guess this is good-bye." gulped Adam. "Nice knowing you guys." said Tom. "Done in by a seven year old." whispered Frostagian. Then there came a rumbling. But it wasn't the trolls, they stopped and listened to the rumbling noise too. Ricky lost his concentration, and snapped, "What is that noise?!" Then it happened. Enchanted Venus flytraps swarmed from the walls like an armada of plants. The trolls ran away terrified of the attackers. "Stop you cowards!" Ricky yelled at the trolls, but they didn't listen. "Grr! I'm out numbered by one to a million so I call a retreat, but be warned cousin! I'll be back!" Ricky shouted a spell, and disappeared. Then Audrey came up to me, head bent in shame. I knew what he wanted to say. So I picked him up and said, "I except your apology." And Audrey smiled. We found a way back to the jet, and reported back to the council. I went home tired yet again. My family set up the ornaments on the Christmas tree, and I went to bed setting Audrey in a pot of soil. He found it to be comfortable enough for him, and fell asleep easily. I hope you enjoyed this post reader. Tomorrow is Christmas eve, and the day after tomorrow is Christmas day. On Christmas day I will make a post on what I got, and If you get anything really awesome take a picture of it and send it to me using the email address: [email protected]Merry Christmas, or Hanukkah, or Kwanzaa, or whatever holiday you celebrate!
Hey Wizard and Dragon fans! How are you all doing? Something finally happened today! We sent Ziggy and Zany to the "Wizard Pet Care-taking Center" so we could set up the Christmas tree without it catching on fire like last year's tree. After finishing my homework, at around 1:00 pm, the doorbell rang. I opened the door, but nobody was there. I turned around to walk back inside when suddenly, I tripped over a box. I stood back up thinking "How did that get there?". The mysterious gift was about the size of a microwave oven, carefully wrapped in green wrapping paper with red stripes crisscrossing over the sides, and topped with a large, sparkly, silver ribbon. Just by first glance you could tell that whoever sent this wanted it to look fabulous. There was a card tied under the ribbon. It looked like a page from a really old book, yellow, a little bit wrinkled. I took the card out, and opened it. It read,
Dear Archmage, This Christmas is going to be a joyous time, so it took me awhile to figure out what to give you. I believe the thing in this box is just what you need to have a good time. His name is, Audrey Jr. You know the man eating plant Audrey from the movie "Little Shop of Horrors"? Let's just say that it wasn't fiction. Always take him with you wherever you go. Have a merry Christmas! From, Your Secret Santa.
I stuck the letter in my pocket, and tore off the wrapping paper. Underneath the wrapping paper was a box with a lid on it. Inside I could hear a noise. It sounded like a tree's leaves rustling on a windy day. I opened the lid and there right before my very eyes was... Okay, don't think I'm crazy because of the next thing I'm going to say. But, right before my very eyes was a "Venus flytrap". This wasn't one of the ordinary ones though. No, no, no. This one obviously was enchanted! How do I know? Well, the arms, and legs, made of vines kind of tipped me off. The creature sat up and yawned, revealing a wide array sharp, red, teeth. "B-b-brr! C-can it g-get any c-c-colder out h-h-here?" it thought to me in a stuttering voice. Yes, that's what I said. The enchanted Venus flytrap thought to me. You see? Sometimes other living, instead of talking out loud like we do, talk through telepathy. They find it quicker, and easier. "B-b-b-bring me inside or I'll b-b-bite your f-f-fingers off." Oh, goody. Of all the enchanted, talking, Venus flytraps in the world I get the one with an attitude. First my conscience, then Ziggy and Zany, now this. Why me? I took the plant inside, and was just about to use magic to light a fire in the fireplace when Audrey Jr. shrieked "N-nooo!!! M-m-my leaves w-will shrivel up!" "Well, how else do you want me to keep you warm?!?!" I growled. He looked around, and finally pointed at my mom's laptop "T-t-t-there. That l-l-looks w-warm enough." I wanted to protest, but he'd already tired me out in the time it took Ziggy and Zany to burn down last year's Christmas tree. So I picked him up, and laid him on the silver top of mom's computer. Later while I was typing on my laptop I got an email. I opened it. It was from the Wizard academy. I typed in my password, which I'm not telling you, and signed in. The wizard council has found mysterious tremors coming from Austin, Texas, and they wanted Tom, Frostagian, Adam, and me to investigate it. The private jet would be outside as soon as I click "ready". I packed my Wizard backpack, adding all the essentials. I came back downstairs, ready to go, "and looked over at my "Secret Santa" gift. "It would be easy to leave him behind." I thought to myself. "All I have to do is click the ready button, hop in the private jet, and Hakuna Matata!" "But what if he ruins the house? Mom and dad will kill me." I let out a big sigh, and nudged Audrey Jr. awake. "Wake up Audrey Jr. I have to go, and you have to come with me." "Don't c-c-call me that. C-call m-m-me Audrey." I picked him up, and clicked the ready button. Hearing a large, *whoosh!*, outside I went outside. My ride was here. I climbed on. Everybody was already there. "Hey, Archmage! What took you so long?" said Adam "This." I replied, holding up Audrey. "Whoa! Cool! Where did you get that?" "Yeah! I never seen something like that in the wizard pet store!" piped in Frostagian. "Looks like some ugly mutated dwarf to me." said Tom reaching his hand out. In response Audrey stretched out his neck, and nearly bit off Tom's fingers. "No! Bad enchanted plant!" I snapped at him. Audrey hissed at Tom, and curled up in my backpack. "Where's Ziggy and Zany?" asked Frostagian. "We sent them to the wizard pet sitters." "Why?" said Adam "You don't 'wanna know" "We are nearing destination point." crackled the electronic box overhead. Audrey hissed at it, and crawled deeper in my backpack. "What do you know? The thing's just like Ziggy and Zany!" Tom exclaimed. When we landed, and jumped outside, I felt a strange shaking coming from the ground. "Tremor!" yelled Adam. We all hugged the jet to keep steady, and as quick as it came up it went away. "Yikes." I said. "You can say that again." mentioned Frostagian. "I'd rather not." "So what now?" I asked. "The Council found an opening that might lead to the cause of the mysterious earthquakes." said the pilot. He was pointing to a cave in the side of the cliff. A rickety, old, bridge, held together with metal chains, was all that came between us, and the cliff side. That, and of course the bottomless chasm below. "Oh great." moaned Adam. "A broken down bridge. That sure builds my confidence." "Well, the day isn't getting any younger." I said. "Let's get going." Half way across the bridge, Audrey poked his green head out of my back pack. One look, and he sped back inside. I don't blame him. Right then even I wished I could hide in a nice, warm, backpack. We got across the bridge in about three minutes tops. Probably because of the fact that nobody wanted to fall in to the dark nothingness. We took a break in a little cavern by the cave entrance. Audrey said he was going to look for bugs to eat, and I was eating my lunch when I heard a grinding noise, And then a rattling snap! "Uh-oh" said Tom. We all ran to the bridge, and just like I'd expected, the bridge was broken, hanging on the other side of the cliff. Audrey ran up beside me and Thought, "W-w-what h-happen- whoa!" "I think somebody doesn't want us to leave just yet." I said.
Hey Wizard and Dragon fans! I just put up the Email Archmage page! Just remember, that if you have any trouble emailing me comment on this blog post about it, just as soon as you finish reading this. So yesterday remember how I told you that Frostagian and I would be going on a field trip to a medieval museum, for part of home schooling? Well, let me just say that it wasn't exactly the nice, and peaceful, field trip I was looking for. How about I start at the beginning? Hm? Yes I agree. Let's start. Frostagian, and I, have been sitting in the car for what seemed like hours, waiting to get to the museum. Very Important Wizards, or VIWs, such as Frostagian, and I, get their own driver to drive them around when doing things on earth. It was freezing outside. The temperature in the morning was 35 degrees Fahrenheit, and for the rest of the day it stayed around 40 degrees. When the car finally reached the museum Frostagian, and I, hopped out. I took a good look at the building. Just by first glance I could tell that it was extremely old- No, wait that would be a huge understatement. Think more ancient than the dinosaurs. The paint was peeling off so much, that you could use each peel as a giant sheet of paper. There were cracks in the windows from the dangerous, and unexpected, weather around here. And there was also- wait... What was that in the window? It looked kind of like someone in armor just watching me. "Come on Archmage! We're going into the museum!" Frostagian hollered. "Sorry I thought I saw something in the window." I called back. "Just come, and see for yourself!" But when Frostagian came over here it was gone. "I could swear I saw a person in a full suit of armor. He was standing right there "Archmage, it's a medieval museum. Not a haunted mansion." Maybe Frostagian was right. I probably was just imagining it. The whole place looks like a scare park anyway. Besides, haunted things can't live in this world. Right? The door creaked loudly as we opened it, and went inside. The driver stayed outside, to wait for us to come out. The inside of the museum was humid and smelled moist, which was very strange because of the temperature outside. We walked to the front desk. An old man sat behind the counter. He was staring hard at some sort of paper work, laying on his desk. We waited awhile, and he didn't even notice we were right in front of him. So I knocked on the old, wooden, antique to get his attention. The old man looked up, and smiled as if he had expected us. "Hello, My name is Mr. H. Can I help you with something?" Frostagian didn't look the least bit suspicious. "We'd like to look at the museum please." said Frostagian in a confident voice. "That would be $2.79" I handed him the money and he said, "Enjoy the museum. The place where history comes to life" Once we were out of hearing range from the old man I whispered to Frostagian, "Okay, that was a little too creepy for me. And what did he mean by the place where history comes to life?" "I'm sure he just meant that the museum explains history so well it seems real." "Maybe." I said. "But let's get this over with quickly. I don't want to stay here too long." To cover ground faster we split up. I went into the armor exhibit, and Frostagian went into the weapons exhibit. We both decided that we'll take notes on the things in the different exhibits and then on the drive back home we would read each others notes. When I walked into the armor room I looked at each different set of equipment. I looked every set up and down while writing notes. I came to the final case, but just like in all haunted stories the case was empty. Right then I felt a cold hand on my shoulder. I didn't want to turn around, but for some reason I did. Standing right in front of me was a full suite of battle armor. There was no human in it though. It was haunted. It raised its arm, and would have whacked my head off if I hadn't jumped out of the way. In response, I pulled out my wand, and yelled, "Frescisus!" What used to be a terrifying thing of destruction, is now a solid block of ice. Just then I remembered my friend in the other room. "RRROOOOAAAAARRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!" Frostagian! I ran to the other room as fast as I could, and There standing in the middle of the weapons exhibit was a large frost dragon surrounded by 10 deadly swords. Frostagian blew her ice-breath on a fifth of the weapons, and whacked some others with her tail. I cast another spell finishing off the last of the evil items. "Let's get out of here, now!" yelled Frostagian, turning back into a human. We ran all the way to the door when the old, creepy man just poofed out of nowhere! "Just leaving?" he said. "There is no escape from Mr. Haunted!" "Wait, that's what the M stands for?" "Well, yeah." "That's really pathetic. The next time you see us, come up with a better name. I mean seriously." "What do you mean by-" "See'ya!" I said diving under Mr. H's feet, with Frostagian following close behind. "W-w-w-wait! You're not supposed to get away!" "Too bad!" said Frostagian. "We just did!" Frostagian, and I wasted no time getting into the car, slamming the doors shut, and telling the driver to "FLOOR IT!!!!!". I got home at night explaining the whole thing to my parents. I wanted to go to sleep, but no one can sleep with thoughts of, haunted armor trying to destroy them, in their head. I hope you, reader, will get a good night sleep. Comment me a lot tonight, please. I'll probably be staying up all night, which is definitely long enough to read a whole bunch of comments if you send them.
Hey Wizard and Dragon fans! I had a horrible dream last night I went on another mission to find the jewel and my evil seven year old cousin Ricky came along and... oh, wait. That's reality. GRRRRRR!!!!! Okay, maybe I'm over reacting, and cousin Ricky isn't out to ruin my life. Next thing I know Ricky comes in and says, "Time for breakfast loser." No. I'm definitely not over reacting. I come out of my tent to find everybody around the fire pit. "What took you so long?" asked Frostagian "Yeah, breakfast is over now. There's nothing left." said Adam "Oops." said Ricky innocently. "I guess I forgot to wake you up on time." "Could things get any worse?" I thought to myself. Once again I spoke too soon. Ziggy and Zany come out of Ricky's tent and act as if I don't exist. "Well better get camp set up." Ricky stands up, takes his wand out, and casts a spell putting the entire camp in his pack. Frostagian whistles and Adam just stands there with his jaw dropped. Ricky's not only great at magic, but he's also good at finding ways to rub it in your face. So now that the moment of bragging is over everyone puts on their flying shoes, and ties on straps so they don't fall off. Before we take off Tom brings me over to where nobody else can hear us and says, "I've heard that annoying humans make great goblin bait. How much do you want for the little show-off?" "Sorry, as much as I like the idea I'm afraid he's not for sale." "Oh come on. It would be a pleasure to take him off your hands and stuff him into the mouth of a king goblin. We'd be doing a service for whatever peace is left in the world." "I wish I could, but my parents would be mortified and they would either disown me or feed me to Fred the troll at magic academy." I said regretfully. "Oh, and by the way," I added. "When I say Fred will eat anything, I mean he'll literally eat anything that's in front of him." "Oh well." sighed Tom "Whatever you want. But just remember my offer." "Will do." I said. "Will do." "You slugs ready?!?" mocked Ricky. "We're coming, we're coming. Yeesh!" I muttered. So we set off once again down into, the seemingly bottomless, pit of darkness. At that moment I didn't know just how true that was. We were descending for what seemed like forever with little or no talk between the long lasting minutes. Adam only said one thing. "I wonder if these shoes can get tired and fall asleep." everyone's face was pale for the rest of the way down, except for Ricky's of course. I'll bet the little brat didn't answer that question just to keep us all nervous. Well, I can definitely say it worked. "Will this dreaded descent ever end?!?!" Tom yelled to the minuscule dot, that was the huge cerulean sky. As if to answer his question, lots of small flickering lights appeared below us. "Wow. Well, there's your answer I guess." mused Frostagian. "That's got to be the goblins new hideout." said Ricky. "Duh!" I thought. But as we came closer I realized it wasn't a flat surface. The hideout was made of multiple ledges like the one we camped on last night. "Wow!" whispered Adam "That must have been hard to set up." "Yes, you can see that this fortress of theirs took awhile to build." Tom whispered back. I was about to look back in my pack and tell Ziggy and Zany to not take anything right now, but I forgot that Ziggy and Zany went to the dark side. They didn't even look like they wanted the beautiful, shiny, gold and jewels. I floated there hoping this madness would soon end. Ricky would go home, Ziggy and Zany would come to their senses flying back to me, and everything would be normal again. "Okay." I said. "On three we make a mad dash for the Dragon Jewel, and after that we skedaddle out of here as fast as our winged shoes will us." "One... two... THREE!!!" we all started off towards the gem. Of course all the goblins ran to stop us, but what surprised everyone except Tom and I most was that when the goblin king ran over and picked up the Dragon Jewel Ricky came over and the goblin king kneeled before him. "All hail Ricky. Lord of chaos!" the goblin king shouted in his gruff voice. "Okay, now I'm really confused. I thought Ricky was on our side" said Adam "Yeah, this is getting a little too weird." agreed Frostagian. "I knew it the moment I met him." I yawned. "But he still shouldn't have." I added quickly. "All I don't understand though is how this fits in your plan to rule, and/or destroy everything." "Well It's pretty simple now." said Ricky. "The Dragon Jewel isn't just a close to the Wizard, Dragon peace treaty. It holds great power that the 'so called' Grand Council wouldn't use because of their foolishness. With this jewel I can bring the great dragon back to life. But when I bring him back to life he is forced to obey my every orders." While half of me was busy being horrified and impressed the other half noticed Ziggy and Zany were still perched on Ricky's pack, and apparently they didn't like what they were hearing. So right as my evil cousin finished his speech Ziggy decided to give Ricky a hot-foot. "OUCH!!!!!" he screamed, flinging the Dragon Jewel into the air. Preforming a wonderful loop-de-loop Zany grabs the jewel and gracefully lands on my shoulder along with Ziggy. "FLY!" I yelled. And we took off soaring hi into the sky. Ricky tried to follow, but thankfully for us that hot-foot Ziggy gave him burned the wings off his shoes. After reaching the top, which seemed to only take five minutes, we got in the new jet the pilot ordered, and flew home. Usually when you get home from something on a Friday you play video game, or go over to a friends house. But today I explained the whole story to my parents, had them teleport the Dragon Jewel to the council with a brief report, and fell asleep even though my clock said it was 4:00 pm.
Hey Wizard and Dragon fans! Sorry I haven't posted much. It's been a slow two weeks, and five days since my last mission. The council was really befuddled as to how the ropes on our grappling hooks snapped. There has been a big debate over weather or not they should risk another team to go get the gem, or not go after the gem at all. Finally they decided to let us have another go at it. Except this time we are going with a professional goblin hunter. He goes by the name, Tom Berserkerblade. About now you must be thinking "Whoa! Archmage is so lucky!" Well, I sure wasn't thinking that. (No. You were more like "Awww. But I'm tired. I'm hungry. I'm such a baby.") Hey! Zip it brain boy! (Thhhppppppbbbbbtttt!!!!) Boy that was mature. Anywaaay. It was a disaster. My cousin Ricky was coming over and I had to watch him. Did I mention that the little guy is 7. He knows magic too which makes him even worse. He is a magical genius, and he always makes me look bad. Everyone is always like, "Why can't you be as good as little Ricky? He knows how to help." or, "You could learn a thing or two from Ricky. He won the Wizard country competition you know." and when I told them I couldn't watch him because of the mission they thought it would be just great if he came along. What makes matters worse is that the council agreed with it. So I end up bringing him with me on the private jet to the goblins new hideout. Right as soon as I bring him on the jet he makes me look bad. The pilot couldn't find his keys so Ricky just comes up and makes them poof out of nowhere. "Wow!" said Adam "I can only make my stuff disappear." "Yeah, he's pretty good." commented Frostagian. "At least Ziggy and Zany are on my side." I thought. It turns out I spoke too soon. Next thing I know he's giving my wyverns massages and telling Adam and Frostagian tips on casting spells. And here come the comments. "Hey Archmage! Did you know your 7 year old cousin is better at magic than you are?" Marveled Adam "Yeah, and did you know that he won the Wizard country competition?" added Frostagian. "We are at the pick up spot for Tom Berserkerblade" came the pilot's electronic voice from the speaker above. Ziggy and Zany were so calm they didn't even flinch. Boy I can't wait till this mission is over. When we stopped the door opened and in came a half-dragon. His skin was dark green, his eyes were a dark shade of amber, and you could see the overlapping scales on his skin. He was wearing mud-stained pants, a safari jacket, and the kind of hat you would find if you were on a jungle cruise. But to top it all he had a vest and belt under his jacket which were bulging with equipment that helps catch goblins. "Hello." he said in a gruff voice "The name's Tom Berserkerblade, and I'm the professional goblin hunter." Ricky puts down Ziggy and Zany and stands up to inspect the goblin hunter. He looks him up and down and says in a sarcastic tone, "Really? The Net Bound 3.0? Only an amateur would carry around outdated gear like that." I was horrified "Excuse me?" said Tom "I am so sorry about that!" I said hastily bringing my cousin back to his seat. "He doesn't know when to keep his mouth shut." The rest of the plane trip went along terribly. Tom and Ricky had a bragging contest, and my cousin sure wasn't helping out with the situation. When we finally got to our destination all that anyone could talk about was Ricky. We get out our gear and get ready to go but something happened. I started to feel the ground shake. Apparently everyone else felt it too. They were all holding on to something. Suddenly huge cracks in the ground appeared right under the jet. The pilot opened the door and got us all out before the ground swallowed up the jet. "Is everyone all right?" asked the pilot. Everyone groaned in response which thankfully meant none of us were dead. "That was close!" said Adam in short choppy breaths. "Yeah, way too close." agreed Frostagian. "But look!" I exclaimed. "That opening must lead to the goblins new hideout!" "How are we going to get all the way down there!" complained Adam. "After that rope incident I don't really trust the grappling hooks." "That's easy." said Ricky the bother. "All we have to do is cast the flying sandal spell." "Huh?" I said "It's on your list of spells the council gave you. Any smart wizard would know that." Ricky said in the most Smart Alec tone he could make. I glared at him and opened the list of spells. Ricky was right, as usual. I found the flying sandal spell in the middle of the list, and started to read it out loud. "The Greek god Hermes knew all sorts of things, So help us be like him and let our sandals sprout wings." I looked down at my shoes, and at first nothing happened. But then I could see wings come out of the sides of my shoes! Looking around I saw that everyone else had wings on their shoes too. "Well? Shall we fly?" Ricky asked looking at me with a mocking stare. We took off from the ground and began to descend down the dark chasm. We found a nice spot somewhere down and decided to camp there for the night. So we set up tents and hit the hay. I'm certainly not enjoying this mission.
Hey Wizard and Dragon fans! Strange thing happened this morning. Remember my last post where I fell asleep? Well this morning I woke up, flicked open the computer, and the date was October 31, 2009. Normally a day in this dimension is 12 days longer than a day on earth even though they both feel the same, but Wiz tech. made a solution for that. It's a device that changes the time zone around you so that the time runs the same on that planet as it does on earth. By the way don't ask me how they do it. That's far from my understanding. (Yeah, about 999,999,999,999 light years away.) Hey! I thought we said no more talking on my blog posts! (Too bad!) You know? Maybe I should get rid of you now! I just have to reach my wand and, (Not if I can help it!) Aaaagghhh! Stop controlling my hand! (Stop hitting yourself. Stop hitting yourself.) Ouch! Ouch! Wait, why is my typing hand still typing? (I don't know. It has seemed to have a mind of it's own lately.) Oh well never mind let's just get back to the post already. (Fine.) Anyway off the strange subjects, and back to the mission. We are all relaxing on our jet, well actually Frostagian and I are relaxing but I told Ziggy and Zany that Adam is a secret milkshake seller in disguise. Boy, is he mad. As the pilot said "We are about to land at the destination point. Please buckle your seat-belts." Ziggy and Zany dove into my backpack screaming,"Aaaagghhh! Scary voice!" and the rest of us buckled our seat-belts. When we landed we got out of the jet and started looking around. The landscape was flat, sandy, but most of all empty. The only part of the planet we could see, that didn't look like a million mile wide sandbox, was a giant gorge in front of us. "The council says that you need to go down that canyon, and to give you these." the pilot said handing us a backpack bulging with stuff. "Not million pound backpacks." Frostagian groaned. "I have enough trouble with those at school." but when we put them on they weighed nothing. I couldn't even tell whether I was wearing it or not. "Let me guess." I said. "Enchanted backpacks from Wiz tech." "Wow! You have to admit these are pretty cool." Adam said rolling his shoulders "Yeah I could get used to this." commented Frostagian. "Anything else?" I asked the pilot. "They said to give you this letter." he said handing me an envelope with a wax seal. I tore off the wax seal and opened the letter and started reading it. It read, "Dear young magic users, We thank you for going on this mission. In your bags we have packed the essentials to climb down the canyon and retrieve the Jewel. You will find grappling hooks with unbreakable ropes, a small enchanted food wallet that never runs out of food, a water bottle that stays cool and refills itself when empty, a titanium wand that you will find very useful and so far the best spell casting wand there is, and finally a list of ten spells you will find in Archmage's pack. they can only be used once, so make sure to only use them in times of need. We wish you good luck, and hope for you to return safely. From the council of magic. "Wow." Adam noted "Wait there's something on the back!" said Frostagian. I turned it over and read, "This message will explode in ten seconds." Then we looked at each other did what any brave wizard would do. We panicked "Aaaagghhh!" Ziggy flew out of my backpack and looked at the letter. He must have thought it looked tasty because one moment I have an exploding envelope in my hand the but then I see dark green scaly jaws shoot out and it's gone. "Mm mm." Ziggy hummed licking his lips with his forked tongue. "Uh-Oh." we all said in unison. Ziggy opened his eyes wide hiccuped and out came a stream of smoke. "Ziggy! Are you okay?!" I shouted "Ooohhh... don't feel good." he murmured in dragonese "He's alright." I chuckled. "Let's get going." We walked over to the face of the cliff, secured our grappling hooks to the ground, and made our way down into the dark abyss. Half way down, or what we think had to be at least halfway down, we were all hungry. " I'm so hungry my stomach is talking to me." Frostagian groaned "I'm so hungry This rock seems appetizing." Adam moaned "I'm starving too. Maybe we should stop and eat for a while I said "HOORAY!" Adam cheered he turned around and his backpack fell off his shoulders retreating down into the darkness. "Noooo!." Adam yelled "Phooey! I thought that only happened in the movies. "Don't worry I still have mine. I think." She felt around for her pack and we saw another one falling into nothingness. "I think I'll wait until we get to the bottom." I said "Yeah me, too." commented Frostagian "I'm not hungry anymore." put in Adam. Suddenly I felt my rope wiggling. "Do you guys feel that?" I asked "Uh huh" they said. "Dang." cursed Adam "Why us?" We heard three clicks, and what do you know. They certainly were our ropes. "Aaaagghhh!" We screamed as we fell into the unknown below. "TAKE OUT THE SPELL LIST! TAKE OUT THE SPELL LIST!" Adam repeatedly yelled "BUT THEY'RE ONLY SUPPOSED TO BE USED IN EMERGENCIES!" I yelled back "WHAT DO YOU CALL THIS?!?!" "Oh yeah." I said. Taking out the list of emergency spells I read a levitation spell "We are in a bit of a serious fall, make this levitation spell work for us all!" The ground was coming on fast and we braced our self's for impact. We waited, but nothing happened. No crash, snap, or splat. I opened my eyes and saw the ground an inch away from my nose. "Hey, guys." I said "We're safe the spell worked, Oh and somehow our unbreakable ropes broke." *phew* Frostagian sighed "After this I am so not traveling down canyons anymore." "Hey," said Adam "Found our packs, and an entrance." I looked at it and heard a voice saying "Hey! Your not supposed to be down here!" "Do caves talk?" I asked worriedly. "Only if there are angry goblin guards with spears inside." remarked Frostagian "Why us!" Adam moaned again. "I'll take care of this" Frostagian walked into the cave opening. We heard an "Uh Oh.", saw some ice breath and Frostagian walked out a 12 foot tall frost dragon licking her lips saying "Mmmmm. Frozen goblin." What could Adam and I say in response other than "Eeeeewwww! Nasty!" "Hahaha!" She laughed "If you were a dragon you'd think so too." She changed back into human and we walked into the cave. What we saw next still astounds us. We walked into a room filled with treasure beyond my wildest dreams. There were piles of jewels, and gold. Crowns that might have belonged to great kings. But of all the treasure the biggest Item was a gem stone bigger than the one in the temple. "That has to be the thing we're looking for. I bet my Were-stone on it." said Frostagian. "We'll need a distraction though." I whispered. Frostagian and I looked at Adam. "What? No no no. You can't make me." "One, two, three, GO!" we shouted pushing him out. The goblins stared at him with anger "Oh, darn." "Get him!" The goblins made a mad dash at Adam. Forget about the secret milkshake salesman joke he'll think of ways to get back at me for this one a million times over. "Aaaagghhh!" he screamed insanely as if he had just won $1,000,000, except without all the horror. "Go! Go! Go!" I said. Frostagian and I ran across the room with Ziggy and Zany close behind. Half of the goblins noticed us and ran towards us. "We don't have enough time Archmage!" "We have to make the last 50 yards!" I yelled "Then let's get going!" She morphed into a dragon and said, "Hold on!" "Shouldn't you be doing that?!" I yelled. She only chuckled. Flying in the air was exhilarating yet terrifying at the same time. When we got there I walked up to the gem reaching out my arms to grab it but right when I touched it, it disappeared. "You have got to be kidding me." I complained. "GET US OUT OF HERE!!!" Shouted Adam. I took out the spell list and recited what I hoped was a teleportation spell. "I don't like where we've gone from the place we first departed, please take us back to where we started!" There was a flash of light and we were by the jet plane again. The pilot was standing outside the ship waiting for us. "So, how did it go?" he asked "Just take us home." I said. When I got home I remembered it was Halloween night. And It was pretty disappointing how I spent it.
Hey Wizard and Dragon fans! I started the mission today! WOO HOO! Anyway if you've been reading my comments (maybe you should post one I just might mention you in my blog posts.) you will know that I have two friends named Adam and Frostagian. Adam and I have known each other for a long time. He too works with magic and he is an apprentice mage. I don't know his mentor because we aren't supposed to know anybody else's mentor. Hmm? Who's my mentor? Well, I can't tell you otherwise I'd have to kill you. Just kidding! But if I did the council would have to feed you to Fred, the troll and I would be fired. My magic would be taken away and all information on me would be terminated. Getting back on subject Frostagian home schools with me. She looks like a normal human to you but she really is a Were-dragon! Most people on this planet think that things like were-wolfs and stuff like that only turn their other half on the night of a full moon, but let me tell you they are dead wrong. Were beings change form every night. But now with new cunning technology Wiz tech. (the leading magical industry) has created a small gem stone that fits into a medallion you can wear around your neck that allows you the option not transform and store up the energy of the moonlight to be put to use whenever necessary! So this morning they briefed me on my mission and guess who got to come along... No it's not Fred the troll... No it's not Vincent the vampire... No it's not, Oh! Never mind I'll just tell you. Adam and Frostagian are the lucky ones accompanying me on the mission! YAY! Hm de de doo da hm de de day! *whistling*(Sorry readers. This is Archmage's Conscious. It might take a while for him to get back on track. While you wait I suggest you occupy yourself. This might take awhile and I am sorry for any delay. Thank you. *cheesy elevator music*) Hm? Oh sorry. Sometime I lose myself in joy for a short time. (more like 10 hours to everyone else.) Oh be quiet! Nobody asked for your opinion! (well I think they would rather listen to me tell them what happened rather than somebody who whistles and babbles nonsense every time he loses his train of thought.) Keep these insults going on and there will be no imaginary broccoli for you tonight! (Oh no. Not the broccoli. And since your so dumb I'll go ahead and tell you that I'm being sarcastic.) Grrrrr! Why you! Huh? Oh yeah! I forgot about the readers. (stupid, stupid, stupid.) I'm going to ignore that and get back to the story. So the council selected me and my two friends to go on the mission. It's codename is "The Dragon's Jewel"! (flashback!) A long time ago, so long ago that, Oh! Never mind! Let's just save us some time and say that it was a long long time ago. Wizards and Dragons were in a war. It lasted extremely long and everyone was tired so they decided on peace. Proof of their peace treaty consisted of two items they gave each other. The wizards gave their most prized possession, "Merlin's Staff", and the dragons gave theirs, "The Dragon's Heart". A most interesting piece actually. It belonged to the great dragon. The great dragon met a girl and he loved her (Blegh! Yucky!) so much they got married. One day there was an avalanche and she got pinned to the ground by giant rocks. they were to heavy to move so she tried calling for help. Unfortunately she was trapped near a spot where dragonsbane grew and every breath she took was poisoned. The great dragon was out looking for her when he heard her hoarse calls for help. By the time he got down there to help her it was to late, she was dead. Later that night he died of sadness and when the other dragons went to him in the morning he was gone. A that was left of him was his heart. A large ruby. And if you looked hard enough you could see a thin crack down the middle where it was broken. So now the jewel has gone missing and we are going to look for it. I think about this confidently as I lay back in my seat on the private jet with my two friends around me talking about the popular magical card game called "Wizards and Wyverns". Well until next post Wizard and dragon fans. (That took eons.) What do you mean? (Think about it. This post is longer than the perimeter of a 50 inch plasma screen TV.) You continue to irk me. (Why thank you. Goodbye readers we're not going to write anymore for fear that your head will explode with all that you've read.) Yeah see'ya soon!
Hi Wizard and dragon fans! anyway sorry I didn't post a message yesterday. That was just me easing back into regular life. hearing the buzzing of the computers, feeling the nice crisp pages of a book I'm reading, and making sure Ziggy and Zany don't burn the house down. *Aah* finally. But nothing stays the same for long as you might have noticed in the past blog entries I have posted. In this case the council of magic is still hoping I'll be going on that mission I mentioned in that post before the state fair incident. Tonight I am packing up my essentials for tomorrow when I go to the magic council to recieve my ride to the start of the my mission. So I'm really excited but at the same time sad because I just got home but oh well. Anyway one of the comments posted said that if I was making a book that he would read it. Well actually I am working on a book. I can't really guarantee you anything a book is a working progress that might take a long time. And not many people might want to read it anyway. Readers please post me comments telling me that if my book got published weather you would read it or not. Okay? Well I know this post was shorter than usual and I didn't say anything about Ziggy and Zany unless you think that the fact that immediately after I was done packing they took a sudden interest in my backpacks contents and spread them all around the house is funny. Well I'll write you soon and remember I want to see those comments!
Well hi wizard and dragon fans. It's been a while and I finally decided this morning that I should go back in the temple. Yeah I know what you're thinking "took a while for him to figure that out." yes it did but Ziggy and Zany weren't really helpful on that decision saying stuff like, "Don't tell me your thinking of going back there again what if there is a giant tisilion next time?" (the tisilions are an ancient dragon hunting species) or, "If you make me go back in there I'm going to light your head on fire." or, "I'm hungry and if you don't get me food I'm going to eat that computer you keep spending so much time on." So hopefully you can now see that It was a hard decision to make. I sorted everything out with Ziggy and Zany so now if they want an extra large milkshake when we get home they would have to go back in with me. Oh and by the way Ziggy still has that giant gemstone with him and won't let go of it. The first time, which was also the last time, I tried to sneak it away from him... well let's just say if I had been standing in the same place for more than two seconds I would have been charcoal. So anyway during our walk to the temple nothing strange happened. I could still use my magic and Ziggy was still carrying that jewel. When we finally got to the temple I looked up at the sky having a feeling that it would be a long time before I'd see that big cerulean patch of yonder again. As we walked into the temple I got the same results with my magic as last time. Zip, zero, nothing. We proceeded farther into the temple the same way as last time, when once again we were in the room with the pedestal. I walked up to it wondering what I should do. The answer came a second later when a whole bunch of those shadow cats jumped out. "RUN!" I shouted. Ziggy, Zany, and I split up, jumping and ducking as if our life's depended on it. (which they did) I was almost about to get tired out when I tripped and looked up. I found a staircase leading up to a large statue of a shadow cat head. There was a giant jewel for one eye but the other one seemed to be missing. Suddenly I understood everything! "THROW ME THE JEWEL" I shouted to Ziggy. "BUT IT IS MINE!" he shouted back in dragonese. "I JUST NEED TO BORROW IT! GIVE IT HERE OR YOU'LL BE KILLED BY THOSE CATS IN A MATTER OF MINUTES!" Ziggy pondered over this awhile. "QUICKLY!" I shouted. "Okay okay." muttered Ziggy. With much effort Ziggy tossed me the gemstone. I caught it and ran up the staircase with all the strength left in me. When I reached the top I tried to put the jewel back in but it felt as if there was an invisible force pushing against it keeping it from going into place. The shadow cats were closing in on me. I pushed with all my might and it finally clicked in place. Then the giant statue shined brightly having light radiate through the entire room. Suddenly all the Shadow cats looked dazed and walked back to where they had jumped out from the darkness. You see? That statue was actually a shrine and something knocked the other gemstone eye out and onto that pedestal. There was probably a magical field around it causing it to float. As soon as the gemstone was knocked out the cats went into a rage striking down everything in it's path. The cats probably weren't strong enough to push the gemstone in so it stayed there on the pedestal. I couldn't use my magic because of the reaction of the jewel coming into contact with the magical field. *phew* that enough info for you? Well what happened next was simple the cats pulled a few levers and a teleportal hole opened. I guess that was their way of saying thanks for putting the gemstone back. Ziggy, Zany, and I jumped through the hole and it teleported us to the wizard council. I told them the whole story and they sent me home I had a wonderful back at home party and now I'm getting sleepy *yawn* goodnight readers *ZZZZZZZZZZZ*
